Tata Teleservices to Launch Computing Devices

NEW DELHI -- Tata Teleservices Ltd. will introduce 10 different kinds of computers with embedded broadband chips in India over the next few months, a senior executive said Wednesday, while launching the first of the series.

"We will have about 10 devices with prices ranging from 4,999 rupees ($102) to 39,999 rupees," Managing Director Anil Sardana told reporters, while launching the company's first netbook.

The telecommunications services company has partnered with Olive Telecommunications Pvt. Ltd. to design and manufacture the product, he said.
